Someone argued that Invisible Units could not be hit by Nova Psychic Powers.

Then I hit that Cheesey Unit with a Mawloc's Terror from the Deep! [CENSORED] your Invisible Unit!

That is incorrect. Nova powers auto-hit, just as Hammer of Wrath auto-hits and the Mawloc entry auto-hits.

His defense: You cannot hit Invisible Units with Nova because it is a Shooting Attack. Invisible Units can only be hit by Snap Shots. Invisible Units are unaffected by Nova because you cannot Snap Shoot a Nova....

Your counter to demonstrate how inane his argument is would be:

"So you're telling me an asteroid hitting his position would not hit him because the asteroid can't see him?"

Invisibility only works on aim. Nova doesn't aim, it goes out in all directions at all points; whatever's in the way gets hit, period.

The witchfire rules on pg27 "Psykers can make snap shots (pg32) in the Psychic Phase with witchfire powers..."

Blasts and Templates can't make Snap Shots as their rules (pp158 and 173) specifically forbid it. Novas aren't blasts or templates. So Snap Shooting reduces you to BS1 as normal, but you don't need to roll as it automatically hit. Seems cut and dried to me. ;)

Just certain players don't make decent human beings....

Maybe I'm thinking too well of people, but he might just be confused with how weapons that don't roll to hit affect zooming flyers. Maybe.
