I wonder if those shoulder plates on the Tyrant Guard can be left off? They look like they can be... I see them being used in some future conversions and random spawning pool madness...

It's a Space Marine helmet.

I was thinking the same thing. Cool, but...

Yeah, I like mine better.

Even so, this is the first Tyrant Guard I've actually considered buying.

I love the harpy/crone! They look ace!
The haruspex looks mental- really love it. [did they have a vomit troops ability in epic? Just wondering -the shape of the maw looks like it's opening like an organic assault ramp].
The warriors are nice but they look relatively unchanged- more like a recut? I thought I'd be mad keen on the warriors and buy a big kit possibly.. Now I want both big kits, probably twice [if the haruspex can transport stealers/hormagaunts].
Very excited!!

No - the Haruspex isn't a transport. Chalk that one up to a wrong rumor.

The Malefactor was, but a ginormous hard-to-kill bug is just as good: no opponent in their right mind is going to let THIS

waddle into their lines. Or they can waste all the shots on your hordes of troops and then this will nom them. Love it: my favorite tactic is "pick your poison," and this fits that perfectly.

Man i need this winter weather to get out of town. I'm needing to do the business of painting and priming soon. All I know is that I hope I can reroute more power to my wallet than expected.

It appears I'm one of the few disappointed that the Mycetic Spore model isn't happening (if rumors are true). I LOVED using them as LoS blocking terrain, forcing my opponent to shoot them before getting to the units that vacated them. 3-4 on the game board arriving on the same turn is incredibly potent. Having that go away really hurts, especially my spores of BS/LW Warriors. I was able to reliably get them into CC before they got lit up by heavy S8+ weapons fire. :(

The leaked pics look pretty cool. I like the look of the new Haruspex vs the one that existed before. Glad they're ditching the worm/slug appearance in favor of something more in line with the current aesthetic. The two flyers are nifty, too.

I'm actually partial to the new Tyrant Guard. Not a fan of the current sculpt. They don't sing "ARMOR!" to me like bullet catchers should. This sculpt at least looks like it could jump in the way and actually catch a few like Mike Trout at the fence.

My thoughts:

Haruspex: Looks special.. But I might like it quite much. BLLLEEREGHEGHGH!
Exocrine???/Dactylis???: I think that one is rather cool too. I will get one at least, to get some bombardment on to the table!
Tyrant Guard: Well, I like it actually. Think it's really awesome. Definately getting those for my beloved metal tyrant.
Harpy: I am not really sure to be honest. But that might just be the pics.
Other flyer: Same as above, even though I like the "bombs" :P
Prime: Just looks like a better warrior, but it is nice that way too. I like warriors :)

all in all I am hyped. I cannot wait for the new bugs to land (And the codex). What I have to figure out is: Do I want to spend insane amounts of money for the new limited ed codex? Or should I get the regular one.

Even though they tried, they can't compete with your pinkishness, Nard.
