...
Accomodator was always the most completely reasonable and helpful guy on the boards. He's like a good boss. You really have no idea how much you liked him and needed him until you get bought by some horrible corporation that did so out of spite and puts you under some moron to slowly kill off everything that was going well. How did it happen? Heart Attack? Or what?

This new are really hard for me - this board from the start was most helpful friend in my 40K evolution.
Without Ross I wouldn't even start Nids, 40K and painting.
Terrible loss to all who really cares about Warpshadow

This is very sad news. My condolences to his family and friends, particularly his wife and daughter.

Well done to everyone for getting the forum up and running again. I know I've not been posting here long but I've always known Warpshadow to be the best nid forum on the net and I hope we can uphold that tradition in Ross's memory.

Even though I do not know him personally, the little contact I did have from him, I believe he was a good stand up guy. He helped me out here, and was hoping to catch a game with him. Alas that will not happen now. My condonlences to his family and freinds.

May god bless his soul.

Rest in Peace.

I received the news of Ross' passing through Bell of Lost Souls, and I really feel a terrible loss for him, despite the fact that I never knew him personally, nor communicated with him extensively on this site, which is my own loss. He was always sort of a constant here, the person running the show - like an Atlas figure holding the community up by the fibre of his shoulders. The community he created here and maintained so fervently meant so much to me that I was almost as devastated at his loss as the loss of Warpshadow itself, and both very nearly occurred, from what I understand. I regret not spending as great a deal of time on this site as I would have liked as of late, but I think Ross' passing has brought me back to it. Ironic, isn't it?

I have compiled some kind words that I had for him and what he represented to me on my blog, and my heart goes out to his family and friends, who are much more deeply effected by his loss than we on the anonymous web ever could be.

I just found out about this from Hydra's post over at Warseer. This is a tragedy indeed. My condolences to his loved ones.

Wow. I've been away from the hobby for quite a while now. One of the last "major events I did was a GT in Toronto like 4 or 5 years back. Met up with Ross then. And MR. Pink. Just getting back into the hobby and BAM. News like this.

Sobering to say the least.

I can say that Ross was a great heart with a passion for both his family and this hobby. A collected person, who clearly kept this ship afloat for all the hive mind.

My sentiments go out to his family.

Raul.

Does anyone know the cause of Accomodator's death yet?
Was it an accident, illness, stroke, heart attack, or something else??????

I'm no spring chicken myself, and sometimes knowing how it happened helps me feel a little my own death might be a bit less imminent. Brimstone's passing has had me on edge for a while. We were the same age, and I was hospitalized a couple of months ago with chest pain radiating down to my elbow and numbness in my left hand.

I am so sorry to hear about this. I never really knew Ross Nickle but the Accommodator was always a great help and suggestive. I wish his family a good recovery. It was a blow to a lot of people. He was a real person to look up to. I am sorry for your loss.
