Hello mates,

This is quite a long hibernation we all have. How are you all? Life and hobbywise?

Here in France there is quite turmoil. It seems that a Genestealer Cult is working hard.

Yours synapticaly,

Lak.

One of my major problems is that the group I used to game with all went and had children, so finding a window to break out a bunch of plastic models and make pew-pew-pew noises at each other for 4+ hours kind of went away.

Hopefully I'll be able to nom down on them with my 'nids soon enough.

Same with me.
With three little kids hobbytime is pretty short. After playing Nids only, for many years i branched out into other armies (like most of us i guess), i still work on them.
The last Nid project was for Killteam, and i really like Warriors in this game setting.

My big plan for 2019 is to get some regular gaming time, because with gaming the motivation to paint will come back automatically.

Hey hey, it's been... a while. I think I was last here 8 years ago! Bocks is now married, and owns a house and cat.

Kind of sad to see the forum so empty :( But looks like some of the veterans are still about. I didn't know the 'nids had become weak in the new rules, I've never been a gamer, just a modeller, but it's still lame that people might be put off collecting Tyranids because of crap stats.

After my enormous hiatus I'm feeling very much in the mood to sculpt/do conversions again. Sold basically all my bitz years ago so that might be a bit difficult... But I've got a conversion I started years ago that will end up being a Swarm Lord, and I've got a scratch sculpt that I want to get back into too. Also wanting to buy a box of 'fexes and do a couple more screamer conversions!

Anyway, sad to see it mostly deserted here. Wouldn't know where else to post. This forum was and is my only connection to anything GW now.

Greetings Bocks,

Well do not be sad, because you have witnessed and participated to the Golden Days of Warpshadow.

Of course, not having hobby locomotives like Mr Pink, Mr Moloch and such talented people is not helping but anyway, maybe with the GS cult there may be some fresh blood. But the fact is that forums are somehow a media of the old times before social network, and pinterest. Maybe creating a FB group can help recreate some interactions between splinter members of WS hivemind.

As a matter of fact I had some shitty years (that's life) and the hobby have been put into parenthesis but I have small plans to put some coal into the furnace.

Cheers,

Lak.

Hiya!

Me and Pinky have been chatting over Whatsapp and I'm planning on joining him on Instagram with my own account. Seems like the place to be. I think you're right about forums being a dead medium nowadays... I deleted myself off Facebook so that's not an option for me now.

Hope you light that furnace up again. I'm rediscovering the cathartic effect of sculpting and loving it.

Hey Guys,

Yeah the forum is pretty dead nowadays. But the golden times couldnt stay forever I guess. I talk to Hydra once in a while and he is completely gone from Warhammer and switched to Infinity. At least that is what I last heard of him. I bought a pretty cool Slaanesh herald from him.

As for me: still painting alot but real life gets in the way every so often. I also branched out and totally love my Space Marines. But I am still playing Nids. I am participating in an active campaign at the moment and keep myself informed about current Tournaments. Nids doing well atm I think.

Thats that - lurking again for who knows how long ;)

Yeah, I have been dormant for way too long, and don't see that I will be getting back in anytime soon. I am in a few 40k Facebook groups for general and Nids, and enjoy seeing what people post there for painting and kit bashes.

I look forward to the day that I get to buy, assemble, and paint once again, but it might be another year. My youngest might have an interest in playing some smaller games, so it might be with Kill Team that I get to play again.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying life.

Till next time...
