Awws thanks for the late words. I'm always a bit hard on myself being my own worst critic, so hear nice things from others shuts Slannesh up a bit... darn perfectionism! And when a local player says my models want to make him puke cause they freak him out, I think I'm doing something right too haha!

I haven't been too active either, as my mojo comes and goes. Work and Diablo 3 Expansion is to blame too.

Then I get the Valedor book and suddenly want to make a Tervigon Queen lol. That book has a lot of Tyranid goodies. We get a lot of new Formations.

I also had a giggle at the unit shadows for the formations. The Tyranid Shrike is just a warrior with gargoyle wings photoshoped all together.

Long time no update. The winter blahs be ending, thus my creativity returns. Only catch is, its not Tyranids right now :O

I am pretty excited for the upcoming Khorne Daemonkin Codex. My Khorne Daemons have a bit of a reputation of being rather nasty, and now they will be getting some new rules!

I also had to get that new Bloodtrhirster kit, hot dang. Here is how its coming along so far. I just need to finish up one wing, due to magnetizing, and everything is ready for painting. I think I am going to call this guy Gore'Ax, because dat axe!

A new Bloodthirster means my old one is being demoted to a Daemon Prince. He is being demoted in style though, as some leftover bits from the Bloodthirster gave him some new gear.

One game, when he was a Bloodthirster, he wrecked 2 Dreadnoughts, a bunch of Terminators, and Marneus Calgar, who all assaulted him in a massive CC frenzy (I had insane luck and awesome gifts if your wondering lol). His new weapons are homage to his impressive slaughter. In one hand, he has a massive axe that can cleave a Terminator in two! In the other, a nasty hammer that can smash apart armour in a frenzy of rage. Still have not named him yet.

That new hammer and axe jazz the old bloodthister up nicely. :)

It all blended in awesome when painted up too. Photos will have to come later.

Man... my huge uninspired stretch has caused some of my paints to go funky :( I need to get some brass paint... blarg the new metallic ones are so weird in the way they mix... I had to redo some of old-thirsters armour in an off coloured boltgun metal due to the brass death.

Long time no update, thus PHOTOOOBOOOMMMBBBBBB! I had quite the period of the hobby blues, but I seem to be snapping out of it. Unfortunatly, its not Tyranids :( Been feeling a bit burnt out with the bugs latly. With 40K getting super confusing with all these danged formations and CADs and junk, I just don't feel like doing anything Tyranid, as I feel we gotten the shaft a bit. Thus, my hobby mojo turned to Chaos, since I can be a bit more creative.

Lets start off with Mr.Bloodthirster. This guy was a lot of work lol. Such an amazing model. Hard to take photos of because its huge. The wings are magnetized for transporting reasons.

And my old Thirster all updated with some fancy new weapons. He's a Deamon Prince now.

I have been in quite the Chaos mood lately, hence a buttload of sculpting and one crowded hobby desk! First up is a bit-bash Daemon Prince of Khorne. The Helbrute kit comes with a lot of extra bits! I also had a weird idea inspired by a game called Jet Pack Joyride. This guy has a Machine Gun jetpack. Yup! I'll attach the guns when everything is all painted up. I feel the fluff around this guy should be an ascended Iron Warrior Warpsmith.

The Age of Sigmar started set is drop dead gorgeous! Having it in real life is even more whooooaaaa when you open it all up and see the goods! I wanted those Khorne dudes for my Khorne Daemonkin! Not sure what I am going to do with the Stormcast guys yet, but I am tempted to paint them up too! Anyhow, that big beasty thingy is going to be yet another Khorne Daemonprice lol! One thing I had to change was the head... Chaos is Chaos, but that face was WAY TOO BUSY. I cut the weird horn formation off and put the Khorne Icon from the lord in its place. Still goofy Chaotic, but much more readable! I also felt it needed a tail, for the model was posed to fill a wonky oval base. The tail helps fill in all that space on a round base.

AAaaand Helbrutes! The Autocannon guys pose didn't turn out as I hoped, and it fix it, I would have to gut that whole powerfist arm area... eh I'll just stop being so picky about it and leave it alone, so I don't destroy stuff because of perfectionism lol! I got another starter Helbrute in a bundle I got at Hotlead, and changed it up abit with extra Helbrute bits. It also got those wonky horns from the beast thingy, witch finished off the front beautifully. Both these guys have the usual magnetic arms with battle damage sculpted into the bodies.

And a horde of Khorne yet to come!

One thing I ask is should I swap out those axes on the Berzerker like guys that I want to use as Berzerkers for Chainswords? If there axes, I bet WYSIWYG will force those axes to be chain axes. I am unsure if taking chainaxes is worth the points.

Great models! I would love to use the bloodthirster wings on tyrant model. but shaving off the khorne runes looks like a hellish lot of work.

concerning your chainsword/chainaxe problem:
in my gaming area you would be fine by telling your opponent what they are. as long as its the same for all similar models no one would complain.

but if you go on tournaments, i think chaning them for swords will be the safest way.

I did the weapon swap on the counts as Berzerkers, and those chain swords made them look even more menacing!

Here is crappy photos of my Khorne Lord and his Juggy (The white looks SO HORRIBLE X.X).

Image

I HAD to have the AoS starter set Khorne Guys! Instead of the usual Lord riding his mount, I decided to have him off mount. Looks like he is issuing a challenge before mounting up and kicking butt! I painted the chain fiery like it could be summoned from his gauntlet and attach to the mount.

It took a bit of time lining them up, then sculpt the base, then make sure they still line up together. The base theme is that some of Khorne's realm is oozing into reality as the Daemonkin rack up the kill count.

I gave the Lord a Krannon Backpack, as I have a spare, and a holstered Pistol (I'd rather keep him cheep so no powerfist, plus Goredrinker is not specialist weapon.).

Also, were did all this threads views come from? xD

You do Khorne proud with those minis!

I just split an AoS with somebody last night, planning to turn the Stormcast into truescale marines. I don't know if that plan holds anymore. The sculpts are gorgeous!

The lord of the juggernaut off is a brilliant idea, and you've pulled it off really well making both a viable playing piece and a diorama.

(And the spinecloak from Dark Vengeance is a nice touch too.)

Indeed, the lord looks like he's about to smack the juggernaut on the nose and say "BAD boy!"

Very cool, Madame KrewL! :)

I have been ghostly quiet. Mental health ain't to great right now with job stress etc... I'm slowly hobbying away still, but haven't really blogged anything. I have been doing a bit of cleaning, and managed to tidy up my hobby desk too. Its pretty weird seeing it this clean lol! Now for the shelf behind it... man thats gonna be a pain to dust and sort!

Alot of whats on the desk is for my Khorne Daemonkin. Not enough camera juice for multiple photos yet.
