Will do Dusty. :)

I've decided to add some impassable terrain to break up the long table edge deployment zones. And I decided it should have an in game function. So this is the work in progress of the first of 2 dice towers that will match the terrain set.

As you might guess this was made from some waste cardboard packing my new vacuum came in, and the off cuts from the chemical tanks walkway. Now I'm working on the bit to restrain the dice from scattering across the table before adding more detail.

Nice! I like the dual purpose of it. :)
Definitely interested to see how it turns out.

A friend of mine made a dice roller for fantasy. He made it look like a keep from a castle. I didn't use it much since i like to physically roll the dice myself

Me too mate. I realised that the dice towers are going to be essential for when I finish stage 4 of the city project.

I lost motivation for this project for a while but it is getting there slowly. I've added the cooling pond to catch the dice once they are rolled. It was made from a box of chocolates box, lead sheet, lots of filler, and some plastic tube.

The is a little more detail added to the front and back of the tower which will hopefully blend in better once the textured paint/plaster is glooped over the piece.

Hopefully no models decide to take cover in your dice roller. They think its a safe building to hide in, then all of a sudden THE DICE THE DICE aaaahhhh *muffled screams as they all get burred in a tide of D6*

Heh, that was one of the first things I thought of too KrewL. :) So the plan is to half fill the cooling pond with a resin coloured such that players recoil from such silliness and it looks like the impassable terrain it will have to be classes as (for that exact reason!).

Looking very cool, Yale, but I would leave the dice catcher as somewhere that you can still put figures, then make up some nasty rule about what happens if your figures get buried under an avalanche of rocks, I mean dice. Yes, that was my first thought too. :)

Of course, this relies on having opponents who (a) varnish their figures well or (b) don't care about their paint jobs...

I think that is an even better idea Manticore. Dangerous terrain that is dangerous in more than one way!

Vonny, I know you pulled that off really well with your hive node, I don't think I could here.

This is an amazing idea, Yale...particularly the idea of doing one for you and one for your opponent. Hydra and I were looking at this together, and we both approve whole heartedly. Keep up the good work (b~_^)b

It has taken a few months but I've finally textured and drybrushed the first dice tower. Now it is ready for details and weathering.

In the hopes of inspiring me to finish more of my large terrain projects I've done a couple of little pieces of scatter terrain.

Biomoss is biomass, but some comes with extra salt and is cheese flavoured.
