Soo, there was some talk of an extension. Any hints as to what amount exactly the extension is made of?

Cheers

Hey Guys, sadly i cannot enter this one, term time starting up again, and all my free time filled with decorating house or sculpting stuff for my attempts to persuade GW to pay me to make stuff in some capacity or other.
My Grimgore ironhide went down quite well, so it is on to the next stage...
I am also having a WHFB Deamons (new horrors) and Beasts(all made out of kroot) of Tzeench/slannesh week/month, doing herald on disk, keeper of secrets (for fun) and jabberslyth...

Additionally, i prefer to sculpt models i will field, and i dont know how i picture the swarmlord fitting into my swarm - i have a problem with basically all unique characters in warhammer and 40k (except deamons - for some bizar reason - probably that they cannot be destroyed perminantly - though then should mean that i should like the swarmlord, however i still don't - think it is his fluff, it annoys me)

Oh i still cant work out how to design a bonesword that i want to sculpt...

Cannot wait to see the entries that you all come up with, - i will be looking very closely at the designs for boneswords, and may be pinching some of your ideas!

The way I envision the Swarmlord is that he isn't a single entity. Just a new variant of Hive Tyrants, I don't think there is anything special about it. The fluff given about it is only the theory of some random Magos Biologis, or something.

Either way, I'll let you guys gauge how much time you need. Do you only need until the end of October, or until the end of November?

My pieces haven't even arrived yet, so I'm leaning more towards the end of November.

Well, we're looking at a Swarmlord plus full diorama. I'm also having my second child (well not me, my wife) at the end of this month. So perhaps November is best.

Well, I should be done by the end of the week(at the latest). But the deadline being this month or november is all the same to me, I'll just post the pics, and deconstruct the dioramaportion for more basing material for the fleet(since I'm industrial base style, waste not, is my slogan). :D

Cheers

Sorry, for taking so long to get back to this, I've just been busy with mid-terms at school..

Anyway, November sounds fine, so everyone get to work. Do you just want to hand Jutami this prize, or do you want to give him a fight?

If it's November, he'll have a fight. I've got a baby coming any day now but I also have a lot of holidays in November so I can easily finish by then. I just have to attach the boneswords to the arms, build the diorama and paint!

Congrats on the baby!

Speaking from experience i can assure you that all those lovely sleepless nights are good painting time :)

Sleep is vastly underrated :?

If i can get the time from my own moppets i'll be providing comic relief for the competition with my lousy scenery building skills and nonexistent painting mojo :P

So it's been about a month since the last post in this thread, how is progress coming along?

I have completed my Swarmlord, and may put pictures up later tonight or tomorrow.

Well, I hope the contest ends soon! I'm really interested in what everyone has made!

It's a shame because I have free time now, but nowhere near enough time to put something together

So good luck finishing up the Swarmlords!

Life has been a bit too hectic for me these days, so I think I am out. The niddy muse should return when the semester is over (and order more GS).

Today is the last day of the competition to submit your pieces. Photo's must be sent to my PM box by 12:00 am UTC-7 hours.

Jutami, it is very likely that you may just recieve a box of gargoyles

So my excuse is the birth of my second child, but I'm very close to done with my Swarmlord. All I have to do is attach two more swords onto arms and then attach magnets to the arms and I'm done. I magnetized the arms in case I wanted to run a regular Tyrant. I'll post pictures anyway when I finish.

Hmmh, victory by walkout? That's a bit underwhelming, woulda thought to have seen at least a few swarmlords, wanted to see at least a few swarmlords. Oh well... Hope the next comp gets more participation. :)

Cheers
