I do a webcomic called "Broken Plot Device", which is for the most part a slice-of-life strip with occasional non-sequitors and parodies on nerd stuff. I've done a couple references to Warhammer Fantasy before, but today's strip is my first 40K strip. I did have a tau poster in the background of one strip a while back, but that doesn't count.

http://www.brokenplotdevice.com/2010/02/01/the-art-of-comedy-part-2-biological-warfare/

I'd imagine it's self-explanatory enough, but the only set-up you might need is that it's part 2 of a pair of strips. One character (the one with the huge hair frills) writes comics and can't think of a joke, so her neighbors are coming up with ideas.

Not sure if/when I'll do more Tyranid references, or even just 40K ones, in the strip. Still, I thought I'd share this here in case anyone was interested. ^_^

I just saw this on /tg/! Predictably, it devolved into a bitchfest...
Pleasantly surprised by exactly how darn good the comic is- up to the 'supermarket' arc- and still enjoying.
Keep up the good work!

thank you! I've been doing it a little over a year and a half, and while I still don't consider myself much of a writer (I've been drawing for over a decade, and writing since.. oh... a year and a half ago, haha) I'm always glad people enjoy it. :)

The gaunts in the background: poot! poot!

Given me the giggles - does toilet humour never cease to amuse?

yea but it involves a sexy half-goth kitty, so that makes it all good. :D
I don't know what it is with us norn queens...

Just read through the whole comic, enjoyed myself, and laughed again when I got to the 40k comic idea. ace.

I liked that strip :)

Read your entire comic and liked it, it shall henceforth be bookmarked.
