Post subject:  Hypertoxic Node and Miasma Cannon

The Shield of Baal: Leviathan book has the new formation called Hypertoxic Node. All units in the formation get the Toxicrene's Hypertoxic rule that gives ID to any Poisoned attack that rolls a 6 To Wound. As the Hive Tyrant has to get Toxin Sacs, his close combat attacks are covered. Give him Miasma Cannon and now his ranged attacks have it, too. (b~_^)b

Though we lose the ability to DS the Toxicrene into play, this little perq of getting IDing Miasma Cannon shots could well be worth it. Unfortunately you can't include Tyrant Guard to protect the Hive Tyrant as he advances forward, but with the Miasma Cannon it may not be necessary to do so as quickly as a footslogging Hive Tyrant normally would have to.

Likely not the first to notice this combo but I hadn't seen it addressed on here yet, so I thought I would put it forward for general consumption.

Yeah it sounds yummy. Sucks that you cant get some guard on it, but its in a giant toxic fog cloud of death.

ID poison flammer does sound divine.

What other models are in the formation.... hormagaints that can take poison and gargoyles I hope?

A Toxicrene and 3 Venomthrope Broods round out the formation.
