Epic Armageddon is a truly great game, but it can be a bit of a challenge to find models now that specialist games has shut down. Now all epic models have to be bought second hand or players need to find proxie models from other manufacturers. (While I'm sad GW has shut down their specialist games support, I think it was really decent of them to keep supporting those loss making games for as long as they did.)

Tyranid players have it a little harder than most. There wasn't a tyranids release for Epic Armageddon, so the last time GW made or sold 6mm tyranids was back in the days of Epic 40,000. This means second hand 6mm tyranid models are rarer (especially the plastic troops) than other epic models. The other problem is 6mm human soldiers all look pretty much alike no mater who makes them, so finding models for them is easy. But tyranids have such a unique look finding decent proxies is difficult.

The best I can find are Onslaught miniatures Legion models. If anyone has links to other decent proxies we'd love to have links to them posted up here. :)

(I'll admit I don't like the stalker at the bottom, but that was apparently as close as sculptor dared to take inspiration from, but not copy (or infringe copyright on) termagants.

They are awesome - I am thinking about putting some effort to start mini40K - same rules, smaller scale. The only Problem are other players :P

Another manufacturer of fine 6mm tyranid proxies is Winter's Bioforge: http://wintersforge.weebly.com/ground-bugs.html
