we were playing a 3 player FFA, me Tyranids because im the awesome one, my brother Dark Templar and our friend Nick is Necron. The dreaded turn 2 came, and it was time for me to place my Trygon Prime on the board. I wanted him to burst his Assault 12 electrostatic shock at his stupid little swarm, but i scattered the wrong way... into a tower. Nick thought it would be a Deep Strike Misshap, but me and my brother know the fluff of the Trygon is that he comes in from underground. This is what happened:

Hi Om Nom Nomer, welcome to Warpshadow. :D (Please take a look at the warpshadow FAQ's when you get a chance. They form the board rules and a handy guide.)

I reckon playing within the background is one of my favourite ways to play 40k. I really enjoy competitive tournament play, and my staple is pick-up-and-play games at a local club. And in those environments sticking pretty rigidly to the rules as written is the only way the game works.

But when playing at home with some of my oldest and dearest friends, if there is ever a conflict with the rules and what we think 'should happen' then the rules get bent just enough to get the result we want. Among us friends, who wins doesn't matter as much as a cool game with good company. In this case I reckon we would have just reduced the scatter as per the trygons Subterranean Assault rule though... :P

Lol we figured that the Trygons burrow underground, so we said that he came up and knocked the foundations out from under the building, forcing it to topple over.

I like your rule better than the official one.
