 Oh Hai
This is my first post ever so here goes:
I am trying to find a cool new hive fleet name that is original and relevant to some fiction for Hive fleet __________.
Basically, my hive fleet commandeers other ships and even takes "prisoners" in a similar way that the flood from Halo do.
Who am I kidding, just like the flood do. Even use living as parts of the Norn queens. Muhahahahaha
So, any Ideas?

Hello, welcome to the boards.

I moved your topic, as it is more likely to see some more action over here, as well this is a more appropriate place for it to be. Please make sure you read the board rules and FAQs.

The normal naming convention usually names Tyranid Fleets after mytical beasts, primarily greek mythology. Perhaps a possible name is Hive Fleet Keres.

The Keres being malevolent spirit things that would scour battlefields for dead and dying soldiers in order to steal their souls and take them to Hades.

What about "Hive Fleet Captor"?

"Captor" is a latin word that means who takes prisoners.

If you're wanting to find a good monstrous name, consider http://www.monstropedia.org

This is an in-progress site covering monsters from myth, folklore, and pop culture. Hope it helps you out. :)

if you don't mind the initial flowery cover, once you look deeper it's fairly fitting: the world flourished before you got there, once you take them away all life dies.

Hive Fleet Persephone...... enjoy the pomegranate.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Soon Hive Fleet Keres will be scouring its first victims of life!
Also I am going to be working on making infected space marines and submitting a few other (sketchy) sketches of some ideas of some worm-like nids. Basically, a big worm that has little tentacles coming out of its mouth, a little like tremors. Look on page 10 of the 4th ed codex, and the snake like ripper thing is what I had in mind for the tentacles. I really could use some DIY suggestions too, Please!

Glad you liked the name.

If you need inspiration for tremor-like things, I would take a look at Hydra's beaster here:

But any further endeavours on that subjects should probably be taken to the Modelling and Painting boards.

I remember finding this picture years ago.

I think it's a wonderful idea and I'd like to give it a go at some point. Looks like a superbly cheap conversion that I think looks great.

Well I think we should discuss this thing of which I have come to call The Tremor on its own topic so, I will post it in Divergent evolutions if you want to continue the conversation. Wait. . . How did we go from Fleet Names to giant worms? :?: :? By the way, upon gazing at the awesomeness of that worm thing you made, this was my expression:  (shock) and then :P (awe).
Also, if you reply to my post on Divergent evolutions, help me do a minimal cost Do It Yourself suggestion. Key Information: I don't have any Greenstuff!!! and I have a single ripper base that I feel would do more good chopped up and incorporated into The Tremor.
