I happen to have a "Space Hulk" CD. I remember playing the game once, when I was a little kiddo, but now it won't work on my pc. I guess it's windows XP fault. My question is: does anyone know how to make it run once more? It would be awesome to see it again!

Jinx pm'ed me, but I think this thread is most appropriate for discussing the matter. And if someone comes up with the same idea Jinx did, you will already know it doesn't work.

try bringing up the command prompt:
start: run: type command
see if it will run in 'dos'

Thanks for the help, but it doesn't work. The only executable file turns a windows screen on. This lets me choose play, config, install DirectX and exit, but none works. Well, "exit" works, but clicking it isn't as good as playing the game;/ But I learned something thanks to you. It's not space hulk, It's Space Hulk: Vengeance of the Blood Angels.

just FYI, it is windows XP's fault, it's not a DOS OS, there are a few DOS emulators around, try a google search for some, though i'm not sure what that'll produce

A good DOS emulator is DOSbox, I'd look at that if that'll fix your issue. Note that DOSbox sucks down tons of CPU cycles, so it can actually emulate that old 386 feeling as well, even on modern hardware =]

I tried what you proposed, and it says the game cannot be run under dos. So now I guess I'm searching for a win95 emulator. Anyone know a good one?

I found that DOSBox worked fine.

You have to type in the following command:

mount c c:\[The folder where the exe file is stored]

Then you type in HULK, press enter, then enter again.

the game I have, Space Hulk: Vengeance of the Blood Angels does not run under dos mode. Either I'm doing something or wrong, or you are confusing SH:VotBA with the first Space Hulk. Every bit of help is appreciated though and I thank you for yours:)

Ah, I must be mistaken. If you do get your hands on the original though, at least you know how to use it. :B
