I've always kind of thought of the Cult List as being a bit goofy, a throw-back to the early days GW. I mean - your "war vehicles" are limos?

Well, my other army is Witch Hunters and, glancing through the adversaries section, I found something that would be the makings of a Cult List. Maybe replace the HQ with a souped up Broodlord or something?

Anyone try this route? Give your troops Rhinos and Chimeras, etc?

I think Chimera's would be more effective. It doesn't seem like Cults would be able to get their claws onto Space Marine vehicles very easily.

Although the ultimate brood limo, would obviously be the Gorgon :twisted:

Once upon a time I was flirting with ideas for Super Heavy vehicle for cults, and I decided that human based cults would probably rely on huge mining machines to wage war. Gigantic bucket wheels, goliath sesimic drills and titanic wrecking ball cranes.

Yeah imagine, the last few Imperial Guardsmen holding down a fortification, when the front of a gorgon crashes through the wall.

"AIM YOUR WEAPONS MEN, THE TRAITORS HAVE TO COME OUT SOMETIME", bellows the colonel.

Then as the gorgon's door drop dozens of 'stealers burst out into the line of guardsmen.


I also like the idea that the inside of the Gorgon could be turned into a huge mobile church, with a Magus giving a sermon, with pews and altars and candles set up all inside, with megaphones attached to the outside so that the surrounding hybrids, brood brothers and genestealers can hear the encouraging words of the Sky Mother personified.

Genestealer Cults rock.

They do, I just wish the rules were a little more...playable? Or less goofy.
