I figured I'd need some at one time or another to experiment with so I made four. Very happy with the quality that is coming out (no, I can't sculpt but average) in these models. Also creating three tyrannocite/Sporcysts from scratch. I think I will work on a couple of Trygons I started a while back.

I am finding I like the "Magic-Sculpt) 2 part epoxy/clay mixture. I am a big Apoxie Sculpt fan, but I am liking the Magic Sculpt more every day I work with it. Both are great medieums to create "Nids" from scratch with. (Don't forget the green stuff for fantastic detail work though).

These are really nice.
Please show pics as soon as you get them painted.

A little more progress. Still adding detail :P
I would like some finer tentacles surrounding the main ones with the detail of hair-like, very small tentacles. I think I'm also going to scratch build a set of Neurothropes. I have a radical different approach to the "Zoanthrope" base body and head. I'm looking at redoing the 2nd ed. heads onto the current body with the brain area made bulbous instead of flat. Like I said, "wishful thinking". :)
