Love it. Something about your paint scheme makes it look like your sporemines have cute little hats. Adorable!

Cheers guys.

Need some input. I have bought the cult but I am undecided about colours. I'm thinking all the Nid bits need to be pink and on the later generation hybrids the skin will be pinky white. The armour and gun bits will be silver and the flak bits will be black but what colour will the rags/robes be? I like red but I don't think it will fit with the pink. Perhaps blue?

Floating Death! Looks great!

Have you considered an industrial yellow color for the fabric? I'm not sure how that would mesh with the super-vibrant pinks though.

Maybe go with green to match the green bits in your colour scheme.

I would not use a too fibrant colour for the clothing. These are from the working class, and its der working gear they are wearing, so it think something neutral would work best (thats what i will do with my cultist).

When you look at silver in historical heraldy it is mostly painted in white.
You are going for black and silver as your main colours.
So mixing black and silver (aka white) will give you grey.
That should work perfect because its a neutral colour, will fit into the look of working gear, and is easy to paint.
Maybe a wash of brown, if its fits your base design.

If you want to include your green, i recommend to do that as spot colours on the leader models (gem´s, trinkets, glowing eyes on the magnus..), and or als blinking lights on the guns of the hybrids.

Cheers guys.

I think I'm going with what Harald said. I want to do them quick. Silver armour and gun bits dulled down with black wash. Black boots, straps etc with grey edge highlights. dark purple cloth with slight pink edging. Pink skin for the 1st 2nd gen hybrids and pinky white for the 3rd 4th gen hybrids. Green lights on the shoulders and magus bits etc. Limited colour pallet but I have no time to be fancy. I may start painting them.......In a couple of months :(

This sounds awesome, Nard, and I'm really excited to see how your hyper unique scheme applies to the Cultists!

Hello All,

I have been away and I have not painted in a long time. I'm a little rusty but here you go.

That's awesome. For some reason, the grabbytongue looks like killer vomit. :)

Rolled up Milliput or green stuff.
On the topic of modelling you should also look at bluestuff which is a thermo plastic mold maker. I may have used it to make certain parts of the big spores ;)

I was totally going to do the same thing with the spores! But...like...less pink.

I still want to make a Haruspex with its mouth closed and a tongue or two hanging out.

Awesome work as usual, Nard!

Stunning as usual Nard. Makes me want to burn my minis in frustration, but that's not new :P
