Evening All,

New thread to post all my stuff in from this point on.

As I am too lazy to generate hyperlinks for all my old stuff here is a link to a place where you can find it all.
http://www.dakkadakka.com/core/gallery-search.jsp?u=38024

Here is some stuff I have completed recently. Pls excuse the crap photography.

Looking forward to getting my tentacles on the new bio-blimp (drop pod/mycetic spore/whatever it is called now).

I hope you enjoy :)

The crone/harpy is a nice kit. Well worth buying but I have a feeling we will be spending all our money on the spore kit soon :)

Fantastic work Nard. Inspirational even!!!

Love the way you've done the shading on the carapace. If only my Hive Crone looked half as good as these.

Amazing as always. The carapace is nicely blended! So how long do you think this beast took to paint? After so many nids I'm sure you have it down quite efficiently!

Cheers mate.
It took about a month of painting (an hour here and there). Maybe 10 hours total time although I'm really not sure. I'm currently trying to recreate my paint scheme using faster methods but im not getting anywhere. I just stuck together a Tyrannocyte and I want three in total. It will take me about a year to paint them using my current method and so I need to find a quicker way. I have bought some sprays and medium. I plan to spray the thing pink and then wash it with a mix of purple and medium. Not sure how to speed up the carapace bit. Anyone got any ideas?

Can you use spray for the carapace as well? Keep it all in subassemblies perhaps? Then just assemble it at the end, and do the painstaking blacklining after a bit of cleanup of pink/cream.

I tried using a spray mate but I cocked it up. Back to layering :( Although its not taking as long as I thought it would

Nard, I can't figure out why, but this is my favourite of your nid's so far. I think she's just great. :D

Cheers mate

I'm using a quicker method of painting on a pod I'm painting at the mo. I'm not sure what to make of it. Will post pics soon
